Historic Stable on a Private Vineyard

We liked the Stables as it was quirky and different. The communication from the host was excellent.

The bathroom was very small and off the lounge, it also had a strong moldy/damp smell. We were aware that the accommodation had tiled floors but a few rugs would have added some warmth.

Incorrect description of detached when it was not only attached on both sides but also above! Need to advise that floor is very uneven and two deep steps up to bathroom. Heated towel rail in bathroom couldn't be turned off and dangerous as so close to toilet and in a very small bathroom kept burning ourselves on it. No evidence of PAT testing any electrics. No fire blanket. No useful hanging rail or wardrobe. A sideboard was only bedroom furniture with doors and drawers that won't stay shut. Poor ventilation. Electric fan might help. No sink plug or bowl. Poor condition decor in bathroom.. shower doors not on runners at bottom so allow water out. Shared gardens in very poor order. Oval toilet seat on square toilet. The list goes on!

Very quirky comfortable property

Would prefer curtains or blackout blinds. Would advise sleeping masks if you’re light sensitive.

Towel rail right next to toilet and no method to control heat. Was red hot and caused burnt leg...albeit minor point but not great for kids or elderly..far too hot. Would have appreciated some info in room ie regards area, regards appliances etc. Bearing in mind high end furniture it would be good to see same standard in decoration and for example, the shower. The shower finish is grubby and streaks of yellow filler unattractive. Walls in parts patchy and finish a little slap dash. Many hooks in room but no hangers. It is a very warm room so the addition of a fan would be good.
