A typical Ostuni quirky house full of character, tucked away in a narrow side street but just a few steps from the shops bars and restaurants of the town centre. The thick stone walls helped keep the property cool but the air conditioning was a definite bonus in the 35-degree heat. There were snacks and drinks left for us in the fridge, and the owner, Antonio, very kindly bought us a drink in the cafe next door on our first morning. Communication before and during our stay was excellent, and we thoroughly enjoyed our few days in what felt like a home-from-home.

Because Ostuni was built on a hill, the house is spread over 5 floors (living/dining room and kitchen on the top floor) and you have to walk through bedrooms and up steep stone steps to get from bottom to top. For us, this wasn’t an issue and didn’t detract at all from our enjoyment of the property, but it may be a problem for some people.

20/10 if possible. Beyond expectations. No photos or words can describe. Maria and Antonio go out of their way to make your stay memorable. The House is incredible. Thank you for everything Maria and Antonio.

The location was perfect—right in the middle of the historical section and below the cathedral. It is beautiful, with loads of original architectural features. The extensive roof decks, one right off the kitchen, were lovely to have meals on. You are right next to the dome of the cathedral when on the roof, with a great view over the town. Hosts were wonderful, very attentive and friendly, such a nice change from anonymous corporate owners of rental apartments. The house was large and recently, lovingly restored. It was fun to see all the little details that the hosts had thought of. Very charming historical house.

These were not dislikes, but rather things that renters need to be aware of. There are lots of stairs which are very steep. It was not a problem for us, but do we warned—they were intimidating! This would not be the right stay for anyone with mobility issues. The other thing that renters need to be aware of is that the layout, because it is a historic building and changes were limited, is a passthrough. All bedrooms, except one, are en route to the kitchen and living room on the top floor, so you are walking through bedrooms to get to the common areas. Because we were traveling as a family it didn't really matter to us, but for guests who want a lot of privacy this would be a concern.

They left us wonderful wine, snacks , fruit and croissants. Hosts were awesome answering questions , helping us with parking, restaurant recommendations. Showers were very good adn patio was great. Great hosts !!!

stairs were a bit tricky and rooms were connected a bit funny but we managed it all with a smile as its "Italy"

Great house for family comfort in beautiful and unique Ostuni

Great house in the center of Ostuni. Owners are great people, they really care for you to have a great experience. Everything was very comfortable and clean. Ostuni is probably the best place to discover Puglia so this house is perfect to stay. Very good night atmosphere and restaurant. Everything was just perfect.
