It’s charm. Totally baffled by last review. Yes ceilings are low and stairs are steep but it’s an old cottage. Beautifully maintained, lovely kitchen and perfect dog friendly garden. Fabulous walks and a great pub just minutes away.

We liked the hiking nearby. Good views of the countryside. We also enjoyed going to the local pub - the Frog

The ceilings in the downstairs rooms were very low. We banged our heads until we learned to stoop while walking. The stairs were steep and had short treads. One of our party slipped and fell down the stairs, and bruised her rib. There should be a hand rail to grab onto. The shower in the bathroom was a long hose in a free standing tub, not really a standup shower.

The Frog pub was great and just a few hundred yards from the cottage. Nice hikes with good views.

This house had very low ceilings - not appropriate for anyone over 5'-6". We all bumped our heads until we learned to stoop when walking around downstairs. The stairs had short treads and one of our party (the youngest) slipped and fell down them, injuring her ribs. There really needs to be a hand rail to hold on to. The cottage is not a separate building as we were led to believe - it is joined to another building on the one side, and very close on the other. The sheet linens were clean and we were able to sleep OK, but it may be time to change out the mattresses, as they were bouncy and uneven. The growth on the rear garden wall prevents one from enjoying the view of the farm land beyond.
