"Great view, nice decor, opportunity for improvement"

The decor is stylish and the room has a lovely atmosphere. The bed is very comfortable and the place very clean. The view from the balcony is fantastic.

For a private self contained apartment and not supported by hotel service, this apartment was not equipped with necessary items and the owners need to ensure that guests have appropriate facilities. This includes an iron, hand soap, tea towels, hand towels, cleaning products and materials for dishwashing. This extra attention to detail would make a huge difference.

Relatively good location along the main street. Rooftop terrace with a swimming pool. The room was clean.

Two-night stay. Unfortunately, the air conditioning did not work during my visit, which completely ruined both my stay and my sleep. In a tropical climate, this is a critical issue. The reception was unable to help, as the room is privately owned. The only contact person was reachable via WhatsApp, with very slow response times. After a so-called “repair,” the air conditioning worked for 1–2 hours before failing again. The issue appeared to be in the electrical cabinet, where a maintenance worker temporarily fixed it by manipulating wires with a screwdriver. Unsurprisingly, this solution did not last, and I do not understand why the problem was never properly repaired. After the first night, I reported the issue again and was promised a fair resolution regarding the payment. Despite this, a messenger was sent to collect full payment for the room. The messenger did not speak a single word of English, which made the situation even more frustrating. This was extremely disappointing and showed a lack of respect for the guest after such promises. Only after refusing to pay the full amount was I offered a 5% discount, later increased to 10%, which is completely inadequate given the circumstances and the price level of the accommodation. I ultimately paid 90% of the price simply to avoid wasting more of my valuable time. The entire payment discussion took over an hour via WhatsApp while the messenger waited. This situation could have been handled far more professionally. On the second day, the air conditioning was “repaired” again and worked for only 45 minutes. After reporting the issue once more, no further action was taken. Instead, I received a €20 refund in the evening. In the end, I paid 71% of the room price for a room in which it was impossible to sleep. Overall, the handling of this situation was very poor, and neither the customer nor their time was valued. You can find much better service and quality elsewhere. I strongly recommend booking another hotel

Location superb.Nice ocean view.

They have to improve communication skills with customer.I strongly suggest before you choose this facility talk to them prier your booking each and every corner and fixed it. Around 5.30am to 8a.m A/C system and fan out of order.They fixed it after several reminders.Ironing facility not available.

"Toplocatie met prachtig uitzicht – kleine verbeterpuntjes"

De kamer was prima en had een prachtig uitzicht op het strand van Negombo – echt een pluspunt! Ook de airco werkte goed en het zwembad op het dak was schoon en een fijne plek om even te ontspannen. Zeker voor de prijs een hele fijne plek om te overnachten.

Bij aankomst was niet meteen duidelijk of we wel op de juiste locatie waren, omdat de kamers worden onderverhuurd via een ander bedrijf. Ook was het in eerste instantie niet duidelijk of onze kamer al klaar was, waardoor we een tijd moesten wachten. Van tevoren hadden we de kamerinformatie toegestuurd moeten krijgen, maar dat was helaas niet gebeurd. Daarnaast moesten we wachten op de wifi-code, wat onhandig was omdat we nog geen internet hadden via onze e-sim. Hopelijk wordt dit in de toekomst sneller geregeld voor nieuwe gasten. De betaling via Booking.com was niet gelukt, waardoor we precies om 15:00 uur aanwezig moesten zijn om dit ter plaatse te regelen. Uiteindelijk kwam er echter niemand opdagen, waardoor dit ook op afstand had gekund. Dit zorgde er wel voor dat we ons dagschema moesten aanpassen. Het bedrag contant achterlaten kon niet, waardoor we het uiteindelijk met moeite via de Revolut-app hebben overgemaakt. Al met al was het verblijf prima dankzij de kamer, het uitzicht en het zwembad, maar de check-in en betaalprocedure kunnen echt beter geregeld worden om toekomstige gasten een soepelere ervaring te geven.

The room was nice and spacious with a comfortable bed. The balcony had a good view of the beach. The gym was ok. We were very disappointed the pool was closed during our stay and we weren’t informed of this before booking.
