The hotel was very elegant

The twin bedded rooms were above the kitchen and smelt of chips

Centrally located, spacious room for twin room. Lift was helpful. Twin room great blackout curtains. Staff very professional at dealing with very rude guests.

Very noisy plumbing in room not for us but adjacent rooms. Single room mattress required changing and room needed better natural lighting. At breakfast it would have been better to have background music / noise as very few people in a very large dining area. Some parts of hotel require some TLC. Set menu at dinner would have been better if more choice given.

Staff were friendly.

It's a stunning building in a stunning setting. The rooms were fine and the staff good.

While we were always made to feel welcome, there was a slight vibe that the place was geared towards coach parties with a slightly 'stack 'em high and sell 'em cheap' attitude. For example, the menu in the restaurant basically said 'meat', 'fish' or 'veg', and little more.

The staff were very nice and helpful..

We went to the bar to get a drink there was one member of staff on.. Bless her she was bar tender, receptionist and general dogs body.. Not her fault but it took ages to get served and I mean about 40mins..in the morning went down for breakfast at 7.30 again staff very helpful but wanted some fruit and yoghurt for breakfast but all bowls were empty, asked if the could bring out some more but was told there was none left... As I say staff were lovely but obviously massively under staffed for the amount of guest... Also evening meal was also poor again don't think they had ordered enough food for the amount of guests so seemed like they were trying to spread out what they had...

bathroom in room was extremely dated, no proper shower
