- sehr nettes Personal, sehr hilfsbereit und freundlich

- Komplikationen beim einchecken, konnten nicht auf unser Zimmer und mussten 2 Stunden warten bis wir einchecken konnten. Es gab ein kostenloses Abendessen als Kompensation. Keine sehr gute Qualität des Essens. - Chaos beim Frühstück, Essen wurde nicht regelmäßig nachgestockt, z.T viel zu wenig Essen verfügbar. Tische wurde nicht abgeräumt und nachgedeckt. Man musste sich alles selber zusammen suchen - Personal für Frühstück und Abendessen waren überhaupt nicht eingearbeitet. Wussten überhaupt nicht wie sie ihren Job machen sollen (sehr hilflos)

The appearance of the hotel had a feel of grandeur and Victorian era.

Some of our parties' rooms were quite small and cramped, and needed renovating.

It is situated in a lovely village with very good amenities

They were very short staffed

The bedroom was warm and cosy .

I made the mistake of booking half board. The hotel's website says the restaurant serves 'gourmet meals reflecting Scotland's rich culinary heritage '. In fact you are offered a choice of only three meals, quiche, pie, or fishcake, salad and tortilla chips the night I dined. The breakfast was bland too, certainly not the rich cultural heritage I was hoping for. The hotel catered for coaches and weren't really geared up for independent bookings. Because the meal was so poor I did not feel that I had value for money.

The reception staff were efficient and the waiting staff in the breakfast dining room was effective.

The hotel has seen better days but it was clean.

Location was great to explore the area

Einfache Zimmer, einfache Betten, ein paar optische Ausbesserungen würden Einiges besser Aussehen lassen (Abgeplatzte Farbe, Risse)

The surrounding area was nice

The staff weren't very friendly, there were holes in the wall in the bathroom, the furniture had stains and things stuck to it, and the hotel was run down.
