The view from every window of the lodge is just breathtaking, the landscape really is incredible. It’s definitely a perfect, rural place outside of Tromsø to spot the Northern Lights on a clear night (we had two clear nights and saw them both times!). The drive took roughly 40 minutes from Tromsø and was very direct (we hired a car). Benedicte and her husband were lovely and gave us great advice/reassurance and help on getting from the main road up the driveway to the house. We had a quick tour of the house and how to use things (like the Sauna), then were left to relax and enjoy our time there, but felt very comfortable knowing we could contact Benedicte if we needed anything. The lodge itself was well-equipped and spacious, yet cosy and warm. With comfy beds, cosy chairs to watch out the window for the Aurora, a great fireplace, Netflix etc, and a lovely sauna! There’s a well-equipped convenience store in Sjursnes that we used for a grocery top-up, it was 15 minute drive away along an incredibly scenic road! And we also loved the Aurora Alps Breivikeidet husky sledging as recommended by Benedicte (5 minute drive away). Already thinking about a return trip.

Completely faultless experience, we loved everything.
