Unique Caravan with Outdoor Space

There was plenty of peace and quiet and a beautiful view.

The local towns were not geared up for much tourism in winter weather.

Caravan itself was lovely and cosy and clean. Tea, coffee etc and some chocolate for the kids. I was a bit disappointed that there was no fire pit as advertised on the booking site or the comfy rattan chairs. This was one of the reasons I had booked this particular caravan in the first place. (I had promised the kids toasted marshmallows) I only live 10 miles away from the site and had decided to stay local for a few days break with my two youngest kids and a friend each. I had already booked before I realised it had stated there was no swimming pool, even though pictures of the pool were still on the booking site. I had messaged the host to double check prior to arrival and they were very helpful to advise me that he pool was likely closed. This was not the owners fault as its up to the site. But I feel the pictures need removed if the pool is not available at the time of booking for guests to access. I'm familiar with the area so I could arrange other activities for the kids. I always read reviews and had read that there was a TV in the small bedroom. The bracket was there but sadly no TV. Not a big deal, but could have made the holiday a bit better had there been a tv in the kids room. I had intended on having dinner at the Bar/ Restaurant on site for the 3 nights while I was there for convenience. We went on the first night(1 adult, 4 kids) I was told prior to ordering food that I had to purchase our drinks at the bar, which I did. I then went to pay the bill at the bar for the food when we had finished. I had queried the total, as I had already calculated what it should be from the menu on the table. It was a bit more than it should have been. The gentleman was very rude. Even when he realised his mistake that he had charged me again for drinks I had already paid for, he did not apologise. He made me feel like I was being awkward. I did not eat out in the restaurant as intended for the next two nights for that reason.

No immediate facilities

The caravan was at a nice spot. Close to the beach by car. Really clean and had all kinds of equipment ie phone charger one might forget or need more of. Extremely clean and perfect wfor a family trip. The nearby pub is really welcoming. All in all great stay!

A lovely spacious caravan. The little covered outdoor space was lovely. Very quiet when we were there.

The single beds are small. But did have decent mattresses on.

Everything! A real home from home, we had a static home ourselves a few years ago and this was as homely and as comfortable as our own was. Immaculately clean throughout. I loved the outdoor covered space, ingenious use of space! Sadly due to the weather it wasn't possible to use it, but a great entertainment space. Lovely touches like sweets, feminine products, hair straighteners. I was there as our heating system was being replaced so it was wonderful to get away from it all. Lovely site, the sound of the birds was gorgeous, very relaxing. Superb accommodation.

I couldn't find the instructions for the TV or Cooker, but as we've owned a static previously I knew how the cooker worked. I figured out the TV! An 'information folder', with a little bit more information on the site and instructions for use of facilities would be very useful. For example, the location of the recycling/refuse disposal area, and the location of the swimming pool, or where the 'admin' building was, maybe a simple site map would be useful in an Information folder too. Otherwise fantastic, a great location and superb caravan.
