Iwaiyado Jyuan Nikko Kawaji onsen

朝ごはんがとても美味しかったです。メニューの説明をしてくださり、郷土料理について知ることもできました。スタッフのみなさんもとても親切に対応してくださいました。

館内が少し寒かったことです。それ以外はとてもよく、素敵な時間を過ごせました。

The hot spring temperature is just perfect. I could enjoy the onsen while looking at the greenery and the snow on the leaves. The free alcohol as a welcome drink is definitely a highlight. Staff are super friendly and can speak English.

It’s better to drive to this hotel, as public transportation is a bit far and a bit complicated.

お風呂が熱くて良かった。 お部屋も広くて良かった。 お料理の量も丁度良く内容も山の幸満載で岩魚が丸ごと食べれた。美味しかった。

カクテルタイム？ 17時まででもう少し長く提供してもらいたい。 スパークリング赤がとても美味しかった！

Wonderful place

One point to mention: please note that if your booking is without food, then it is most probably you will not get it at the place and will have to look for a place around (and it is not that many options around). I can understand that it may be not possible to accommodate more people for dinner but I would really like to have possibility to join breakfast at least for a fee as there is no other places around where you can have breakfast.

（しっかり張り紙してくださっています！）大浴場にお手洗いがなかったので、ちょっと不便でした。 ラウンジのコーヒーをお部屋に持ち込めるようになるとありがたいです。

We loved our stay at this charming ryokan. The rooms were spacious and the meals were delicious with plenty of variety and a lovely exposure to local cuisine. Most of the staff spoke English and made many helpful suggestions for what we should see in the area (including arranging for a private hire of a taxi for the day which let us see a lot more int he area in the time we had available).
