IZA Serene city centre apartments

The apartment is spacious and has a hob, which is quite convenient to cook some simple things. The bed was very comfortable and I appreciated the presence of anti-mosquito plugs.

The phone number listed on booking is not working. I had to ask the security guy of the building, who gave me another number. I called the number and the guy said that he was at lunch so I had to get the keys from the cleaning guy. Overall a mess of an experience. Another issue is the inconsistency of the hot water. Ranges quickly from super cold to super hot and it doesn’t stay fixed. Lastly, for some reason they want cash (as if card readers were not invented 50+ years ago), and they try to scam you with the exchange rate (because no one can get USD in Rwanda anymore). No idea why they still put the price in USD since it’s impossible to withdraw dollars in the country

The rooms were decently clean and the environment serene.

There is no obvious reception/concierge and no phone directory to call in case you need anything.

The houses are beautiful and well-furnished. They are spotless and a cleaning lady comes every day. The administrator is also very kind and responsive.

The owner charges more than the estimated price in booking especially if you do not have dollars and have to pay with local currency. The shower is not hot.

Breakfast, lunch nor dinner served, even though, i was informed not included in our charges. Hope to enjoy your meals next time
