Excellent stay, very nice pod equipped with everything you need. Fantastic location and the caravan park is quiet, well maintained and pleasant to be in for a restful weekend. Staff was super nice. Will definitely return 🙂

No disposable BBQ allowed but it's a minor thing

"Wonderful time had by all."

Lovely part of the world. Killin is a lovely little village. Very cosy after worrying we might get cold us and the kids were lovely and warm.

Would be useful to have pillows to use so you don’t have to bring them.

"Lovely, but not sure we would visit again"

7.0

The peacefulness of the site was lovely. Although not a view of the loch, the view of the mountains and trees etc was lovely. I like the fact there is a pathway through to Loch Tay Highland Lodges site so that we could access the Boathouse Restaurant

Hob 3 was what we expected, however after speaking with neighbours, it would appear the accommodation was missing a few things which the others had, a bedside table and a lamp for instance. Although we were only there for 2 nights, the ladies toilets ran out of toilet paper on day 2, there were never any hand towels for drying your hands the whole time and the shower cubicles didn't look like they were ever cleaned, with clumps of hair and even a plaster floating in the shower tray. Having stayed at Loch Tay Highland Lodges 4 or 5 times in different accommodation and never had any issues, in fact it is one of our favourite places, however it is clear that Cruachan is very much a secondary site which is a shame as it is a beautiful set up and could be so much better. We also took a walk down to the Boathouse Restaurant. It was pretty empty, however when I asked to see a menu, one member of staff laughed and the other who was attending to my drinks order advised they were "fully booked" so couldn't take any more sittings for food but we were more than welcome to have drinks. We sat for around an hour and a half and when we left the restaurant was still empty. Just cannot understand why they would reject someone looking to order food when it appeared so quiet.
