My 12 yr old daughter and i arrived early to the property after a 3.5 hr car drive. I had been advised to set off early as I was performing at a nearby festival,as some people had a terrible journey the day before. I thought I'd explained that I needed to get changed and was fine to leave my car possibly earlier than I could access the cottage. The owners had offered to give us a lift to the festival for £10 and I was more than happy 😊 However our set time changed from 2.30pm to 1pm,which I told the owners,but really didn't think that this had changed our arrangements. So we arrived at the cottage at 10.15am much earlier than expected and parked up in the carpark area in a corner as I thought my car would be out of the way there. We were immediately met by a grumpy man telling us we were too early and we'd have to stay in the car. I explained that the journey was much easier than expected and I was happy to change in the car and then grab the lift to the festival. He said it was nothing to do with him and walked away. Moments later an angry lady started laying into me. Told me how inconsiderate I was that I hadn't let them know we were going to be early. How I could have passed my phone to my daughter!? My daughter was asleep and I was using maps on my phone for the directions!! I really didn't think it would be such a problem to leave the car and then come back in the evening. But she just kept going with the insults,asking me did I think I was going to knock on the cottage door and tell them to leave!? I kept saying sorry,but she was far too angry and told me that I had no common decency and this was their house and we would have to leave and return at 12pm. I said we could return after the gig at around 230pm and she then walked away shaking her head muttering. She seemed so polite and helpful in the messages.I'm nearly 52 yes old I don't think I've ever been so blindsided.

GBI'm a solo female traveller visiting family who live locally. I had 3 night altogether. I was so impressed with the little property. The fully equipped kitchen was perfect. The quality of the mattress and pillows was superb. The views over the hills was stunning. Parking was directly outside as was a picnic bench. Emails were answered very quickly.
