Premium Guest House Alaskan Dream

My partner and I stayed at the Alaskan Dream Guesthouse during our weekend getaway at Sandankyo. The location is phenomenal for hiking and the guesthouse is conveniently located within a 10 minute walk to the beginning of the hiking trail. The room was also lovely - very clean and equipped with a much needed AC unit. The host, Big Bear, was incredibly kind and welcoming, and offered to make us breakfast and dinner as there aren’t any supermarkets nearby - and all that with a broken leg no less! Made from fresh vegetables grown in the area, the food was a huge treat. Big Bear also gave advice on the area, pointing out what times are best for the hike and which way to go. Overall, if you would like a quiet place away from the city and some guidance from a friendly English-speaking host, then this place is for you!

I had nice japanese dinner with host, he is an expert in fishing and has a lot of stories to tell. After breakfast, before leaving, host prepared and offered a delicious lunch box bento.
