Location

I would not recommend staying with this host. He was very rude when communicating before arrival. We had to pay an additional £250 deposit before arrival which we still have not received back a week later we were also not told this until 2 days before our trip. He also wanted to charge an extra £10 per key. We were not provided with enough toilet paper and the cleaner barged into the apartment on our first day at 2:30 pm which was after checking in while we were showering and getting changed even though I had texted the host to let him know we had arrivedthere which was an awkward encounter. The host also requested proof of address and passports from each person staying in the apartment which we found unnecessary and a bother for a two day stay. He also did not inform us until 2 days before our stay that all guests must be over 25 which had us worried that we would be left with no where to stay as we had already paid for the apartment. The apartment itself and location was fine but could have stayed somewhere better and less bother if it was not such last minute.

Great location for attending events in Symphony Hall. Quiet. Very clean and tidy. Water very hot in the bathroom.

For us no working WiFi not tv.

"ABSOLUTE AWFUL - DISGRACEFUL"

The entire experience was awful, i booked it 3 months in advance. After the cancellation period ended (5 days before arrival) the host sent a lengthy list of rules and ID checks required which included a photo holding government issued ID (full license or passport), personal email and full address of everyone staying. These requests wasn't visible when i booked, Booking.com wrote to advise we don't need to provide this as the booking is with them and nothing regarding this in the house rules or fine print. The host also insisted on meeting to examine all ID's. As three young woman travelling alone we didn't feel safe or comfortable with any of this so challenged it again, booking.com tried to request a full refund without success, i also tried without success. This should have been sent before the cancellation period ended but it was sent the following morning after the cancellation had ended via WhatsApp which again i wouldn't trust especially with all the scams. When booking.com challenged the host they first said they didn't send all the text messages (around 9 of them) but this inc the link to pay the £250 damage deposit so i was definitely them. On booking.com advises they would request 14days prior to check in for deposit, if they had sent it 14 days before we would have had time to still cancel free of charge. On the day we called the host as i hadn't had contact with them since challenging the ID / Rules, they advised they still wouldn't allow us in without supplying ID, at this point we were a 3hr train away and didn't have the ID as Booking.com advised we didn't need it. At 3pm on check in day we had no accommodation in a city center we knew nothing about and refusal into the accommodation. We tried to find them via the pictures advertised and could not find anything on the street at all.

"We were all very disappointed in the standard of the apartment, and would not recommend it to others."

The location was good and it was helpful that there was a lift up to the apartment.

The control on the bath to release the plug in the bath was broken, so the bath could not be emptied. This meant that none of our family of 5 adults could have a shower in the apartment, which was completely unacceptable. There were no dishwasher tablets provided, so the dishwasher could not be used. The 4 hanging lights in the living dining area did not work, so the space was quite dark and depressing to sit in. The sofa in the living/dining kitchen area was extremely lumpy and uncomfortable to sit on. The bed in the small bedroom was very uncomfortable.
