Guest House Irina Tbilisi

I spent two nights here and had a positive experience. The hostess, Aleksandra, left the impression of a very nice and laid-back lady - very approachable and easy to like, even if we didn’t talk much. The location is excellent, right by Marjanishvili metro station in the city centre, and the view from my top bunk next to the window was beautiful: the Tbilisi TV tower and ferris wheel lit up at night. The building itself, both exterior and interior, is original and classy, and the place has lots of character and potential. The bathrooms were clean, the Wi‑Fi worked well, and my bags fit easily into the lockers. I also met a few great people during my stay. At 17 GEL for the first night and 15 GEL for the second, it’s unbelievably affordable. For this price, I doubt there’s a better option in Tbilisi or even the rest of the country. I'm very thankful overall and will probably be back someday.

You get what you pay for. Based on some of the reviews, I was prepared for things to be worse. Keep in mind that this is not a 5‑star hotel, and expect the usual hostel drawbacks. The provided sheet didn’t smell very clean, but they will change it for you if you ask; thankfully, I had my own. I also encountered bedbugs on both nights. Both mornings I was woken up by the church bells nearby. For me, it was a pleasant and timely experience, but if you want to sleep in longer, bring ear plugs. A few guests were inconsiderately noisy at night, but if you’re out exploring the city during the day, you’ll likely be tired enough to sleep well. It is worth mentioning that one long‑term guest, who was rather friendly at first, expressed strong views about Jews after learning of my ties to Israel. It may be best to avoid mentioning your ethnicity or related topics. Otherwise, the atmosphere was fine and generally friendly.

Интерьер классный,но требует доработок,Ирина хозяюшка пытается сделать хорошо,но ,видимо,рук не хватает, очень грязно, очень грязно,кухня это отдельная история-грязная посуда,грязные шкафы,пыль,жирные пятна везде, в холодильнике старая еда,которая не выбрасывается,требуется супергенеральная уборка,все захламлено,много ненужных вещей,еле нашли посуду,чтоб перекусить,пришлось помыть перед тем ,как поесть. Живут иностранцы некоторые,видимо давно,и привыкли к этому хаосу и именно от них отличные отзывы.Они могут приготовить себе есть и оставить все на плите,или поставить в мойку и уйти по своим делам,не помыв посуду. Вообще дом хороший старинный,но нужны там помощники по хозяйству, приезжих много и физически одному человеку там невозможно за всем уследить. Мы были удивлены отличным отзывам, находится там было некомфортно,хотя мы всегда отдыхаем в хостелах и бюджетно.

Очень понравилось у Александры. Добродушная и порядочная хозяйка гест хауса. Расположение удобное. Находится гест хаус близко к метро и основным достопримечательностям!

The owner is a nice person. Good location.

Not space to put luggage. Too many beds for 1 room. The first bed I slept in smelled like unwashed sweaty clothes. I got bed bug bites but the owner immediately closed the room and called disinfection service. All hostels should act in the same way. No sockets on each bed.
