The Wharf Transient Hotel

Near the port- after we got back from Puerto Galera we needed to stay a night to rest before heading back home the following day.

Noisy outside-both people and vehicles. Room is small. Narrow hallway. No canteen or resto. If you need food you have to go to the town center to buy food and it will cost you over a hundred to get there.

Very close to Port. Easy to find.

Location at walking distance from the port.

No possibily at all to have a beer or proper food in or closeby the hotel. Price way too high for what you get.

The bathroom is very small, TV does not work, the room is soo small.

Incredibly comfortable beds, friendly staff, and a helpful security guard during the day. However, this is not a hotel I would stay at for an extended period. The blinds were quite poor, letting in a lot of light, and it was noisy from the street. Additionally, alcohol is not allowed in the rooms. That said, it’s a perfect hotel for a one-night stay while waiting for the ferry the next day. Walking distance to the port and reasonably priced. The small balcony was also a nice bonus.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Nice room. Everything works. Good electrical outlet, especially near the bed. Able to walk to the ferry port. Lots of street vendors for food, coffee or snacks. A couple of convenience/supermarket stores close by too.

I don't like slippery shiny tiles on the shower floor. No bedside light.

The great thing about this hotel is its location next to the port; it takes less than a minute to drive from the hotel to the port entrance. As we were taking an early ferry, this was fantastic and as a consequence I'd happily stay here again. Don't cut it too fine though as they check your room to make sure that you haven't stained the sheets on check out so that adds on a few minutes!

This is a very basic hotel which doesn't provide any catering so there is no breakfast. They do provide coffee sachets in your room. The walls and windows are thin and as its next to a main road you can hear a lot of noise. I anticipated this and brought earplugs which helped significantly. The air-conditioning unit was noisy and my friend complained that his sounded like a generator. The staff were friendly enough on check in but repeated numerous times that we would be charged if we stained the sheets. We were beginning to wonder what kind of hotel this was! The shower and toilet are a bit cramped but perfectly acceptable for a one-night stay.
