Muthu Sea View Hiriketiya

Amazing location right on Hiriketiya Beach, but that’s about it.

Our room was dirty, with stained towels and a leaking AC. The worst part was breakfast – we got the wrong order and were still charged a higher price. Overall, it felt like they’re just out to make a quick buck, not to offer real Sri Lankan hospitality. Wouldn’t return.

What a location! It’s got to be the best view in Hiriketiya. Was very lucky to be able to wake up to it every morning.

The place is really amazing! People who works there are really helpful, room was clean and it’s really close to every amazing spots in Hiriketiya!

The good thing about it is its very central location and the balcony with the view. Also, the staff is friendly and trying to help.

I did not have a good experience at this overpriced place. There were so many problems that should not happen for this high price. First of all the room and the furniture is very very basic. There was no place to store clothes, so I had to leave them in my bag on the floor, there was no soap provided and the room was not cleaned during my stay. I had to ask for a clean-up and left my key with the staff. When I returned in the evening it was just left in the door, meaning my room was open the whole day with my valuables in it. My AC broke during my stay (which of course can happen and is nobodies fault) but I had to ask repeatedly for the wet floor under it to be dried. The repair itself then went quickly. In the end I contacted the management about all those issues but I was ignored. The place is not worth what you pay for it and I think you can find much nicer accommodations for a lower price.
