The Galveston Victorian Condo

Good location, clean and tidy.

Adding a portable cot for guests with babies / toddlers would have made this place even better.

The room was really good and it had a nice pool. Especially the view was amazing.

The condo itself was perfect! Everything was clean. Excellent location and view. The bed in the larger room was probably the most comfortable mattress I've ever slept on, and the bunk beds were really cool! Communication with the ower was quick and easy. The parking area was nice and so were the pools.

The girl at the front was rude, didn't have knowledge of anything, and made it very clear she didn't like to answer questions. Because she was so unhelpful, I found it extremely difficult to figure out how to get in the gate, how to locate our room, or where to park. I even asked her to repeat it and she went through it again just as fast and rude as the first time. Once I figured all that out on my own, it was easy to get around.

It’s a great location across the seawall. It’s a nice, gated community with plenty of covered parking (though the spaces are quite tight).

I wish the property featured an option to charge electric vehicles, since fast charging on the island is sparse. Regarding the specific unit we stayed in, it’s small but very functional, and the balcony does have a setback view of the beach. A few things we didn’t like were that the air conditioner didn’t work well, making the unit much warmer than we’d have preferred. Compounding the problem Was that there was only one fan controller, which we could only get to work on the fan in the living room above the fold-out couch. The bedroom’s fan didn’t work due to this, so wife and I couldn’t sleep, because we were sweating so much. Fortunately we were only there for one night before a cruise.

It was a modern and comfortable condo. It had a good view of the pool where I could see the children swimming. At the last minute, I had to change the number of guests from my initial reservation. The host was very accommodating. I appreciated our host for not charging me an additional fee for our unexpected guest. Nevertheless, I'd recommend this particular condo to any other party who wants to rent it.

I didn't like that the Victorian didn't have a working elevator. I have a bad knee, and I struggled to climb 2 flights of stairs, especially with carrying luggage. I'm glad I didn't take my mother. As for the designated parking, well, it was more like 1st come, 1st serviced.
