Taormina Palazzo di Ferro

Location was the best ! A beautiful and spacious apartment that was immaculately clean and very well maintained. The highlight was the large terrace, which provided breathtaking views of Taormina and the sparkling sea beyond. The bedroom also featured a front balcony overlooking the street. A wonderful property in a fantastic setting. Wonderful host Francesca, and the cleaning staff were lovely .

We definitely overestimated our fitness levels when it came to the number of stairs required to reach the apartment. Even a quick trip out for an espresso felt like a workout! Fortunately, we travel with carry-on-sized luggage only, as we would have found larger suitcases quite challenging to manage. We honestly don’t know how guests with multiple bags or heavy luggage would cope. As active seniors, we considered ourselves reasonably fit, but Taormina certainly put that confidence to the test. Future guests should be aware that accessing the property involves a significant number of stairs. but so does the whole of Taormina.

The views were beautiful and the location could not be more central to shops and restaurants.

For me it was fine- but some might have difficulties with the amount of stairs (especially when carrying luggage.)

The location is right in the middle of the town center. I can see many tourists walking along the street from apartment balcony. Everything is within walking distance. The apartment has beautiful marble floor throughout and is tastefully decorated. We can see ocean glistening under the Mediterranean sun from bedroom window. The apartment is very clean.

Have to walk long stairs carrying suitcases

The location was fantastic! The Accommodation was very clean and the bed was comfy. The host was very accommodating and we would definitely stay again.

Occasionally there was a bad smell from the drains.

Location was right in the heart of things, with shops, restaurants and cafes in touching distance

Kiváló helyen található az ízlésesen berendezett apartman, gyönyörű kilátással a városra és a tengerre. Francesca nagyon rugalmas és segítőkész volt a transzfer megszervezésénél, illetve részletes tájékoztatást kaptunk a nevezetességekről, jó éttermekről.

Néhány dolog hiányzott a felszereltségből, pl. konyharuha, papírtörlő, szalvéta. A tisztasággal volt egy kis probléma, az edények és az evőeszközök nem voltak rendesen elmosva, az erkély nem volt felsöpörve, az erkélyen lévő ülőalkalmatosságok nem voltak letisztítva, illetve sok hangya volt a lakásban.

Solamente la ubicación, por lo demás, veo muchos puntos negativos. No me volvería a hospedar

1. Mal olor en los cuartos de lavado 2. Habitación con exceso de filtración de iluminación en las mañanas lo cual hace imposible el descanso. Las cortinas no obstruyen la ilumininacion. Si reservan este alojamiento tengan en cuenta que si se acuestan tarde tendrán que despertarse a las 6am. Las almohadas no son cómodas y las cobijas huelen mal. 3. Muebles anticuados e incómodos (comprendemos el concepto italiano delecoracion) pero se hace un uso excesivo del concepto 4. Excesiva cantidad de gradas para llegar a la habitación y las gradas no tienen agarradera lo cual hace de subir y bajar un acto de riesgo y peligro 5. Relación Calidad versus precio es el peor de todo el viaje en Sicilia

We reserved this apartment that is shown in the photos for three nights. 2 bed/ 2 ba , balcony , sea view , fp..We were so excited for this trip to Sicily!!We arrived and were placed in a completely different apartment! 1 bed/ 1 ba no balcony, no fp. I was devastated!! I was not happy. The property manager contacted Booking.com to get this reservation cancelled and we were asked to vacate immediately. WE then had no where to go on Thursday night in Taormina. We were refunded, BUT we now know that Booking.com should have provided us with an accommodation equivalent to the apartment we had reserved. I have called many times and have gotten no where. I’ve been hung up “ disconnected”’on several occasions. I tried reaching corporate office- my only recourse was to leave this review which the last customer service rep suggested. Being a genius level three I’m so upset as Inhave used Booking.com for years- I have no faith in them after this debacle.

We never got to stay here.

The apartment was light, airy and charming. The view over the rooftops, up to the Greek theatre and out to the water was lovely. We did not do any cooking but the kitchen seemed to have all you would need. Location was right in the centre of the main pedestrian walk….very convenient and easy to walk with cases. Francesca was readily available, helpful and friendly.

There are many steps up to the apartment…the cost of enjoying the view. Because you are right in the centre of the action there was a Lot of noise on Saturday night. Other nights were ok.
