Tower Gombito's Apartment

Bergamo is a great place to visit. Staying in the Upper Old Town was magical. The apartment easily sleeps 5 and is in a historic tower with a gated tunnel access. The tower apartment is central with easy walking to restaurants, shops, Santa Maria Maggiore Basilica, Baptistry, Palazzo Moroni, gelaterias, and multiple piazzas for afternoon aperitivo. We would visit again.

Because the train station is across town and the upper city is mostly pedestrian, we would recommend just taking an Uber to drop you off right at the entrance. Taking a bus from the train to the upper city required a long uphill walk with luggage to get from the final bus stop, thru the town maze, to the apartment - which would've been fine but it had been a long hot travel day.

This apartment is now a favorite. It's conveniently located in Old Town Bergamo, easy to get to, and the hosts are fabulous! Will be visiting again next year! Thank you!!

Area was too noisy.

The location was absolutely perfect for exploring Città Alta. The apartment was very spacious and it had everything we needed to make our visit comfortable from coffee pods, to laundry detergent and extra pillows. Communication with Valerio was excellent and we were able to arrange paid parking at a garage close by which made our trip even more enjoyable.

We know Bergamo so we were prepared for the church bells which are part of its charm, but light sleepers might want to pack ear plugs.
