The remoteness and overall area. The staff were accommodating and full of information and knowledge not only about the area but about the environmental crisis that the world is in. They also have all the contacts for arranging tours and rafting which you can organise when you arrive.

We had many steps up to one of the bungalows, after a long day of trekking these became very tiring even for young fit people. The water was sometimes not working in the room, but what can you expect in the jungle!

La guest house est située à environ une quarantaine de minutes de marche du village. Nous avons aimé les paysages pour y aller. Notre cabane pour dormir disposait d'une très belle vue sur la jungle. L'espace commun et le restaurant sont décorés avec goût et les extérieurs sont très beaux et fleuris. On peut se baigner dans la rivière juste à côté, dans un décor de rêve.

La salle de bain est assez sommaire.

Located outside of Bukit Lawang, but it’s a short hike and very doable. Beautiful view’s from the terrace. Quiet en relaxing. It is a laid back place and the crew is super friendly and cool. We did a 2 night jungle trek with Edi, Galang and ‘jungle boy’ and was a highlight of our trip. They made sure the kids were safe and we also had a lot of fun with them. And the food on the trip was among the best we’ve head in Sumatra.

Not much really. Bear in mind that it is the jungle but the nights were relatively cool and to our surprise hardly any mosquitoes. We could easily sit outside in the evening. The rooms are basic but comfortable.

Toen wij aankwamen na 50 minuten in de regen gelopen te hebben, was de ontvangst vreemd. Wij kregen geen informatie en werden in een hoekje neergezet. Achteraf bleek dat de accomodatie overboekt was omdat ze onze gereserveerde plek aan iemand hebben gegeven die onverwachts wilde verlengen. We kregen de optie om in een kampeertentje te slapen en hadden geen toegang tot een fatsoenlijke badkamer. De behulpzaamheid van het personeel was slecht gezien er niemand enige actie ondernam.

The location was fantastic, right at the edge of the jungle with a fantastic view. The chalet we stayed in was wonderful. The balcony was great to sit on and enjoy the forest views. We did a 3 day jungle trek with our brilliant guide, Eddie, assisted by the very patient and kind Rama and Jerry the cook. We are both quite mature (60+) and not the fitest people, but they were able to cope with our slow pace. We saw many orangutans, monkeys of various species, birds, lizards, and much more. We finished the trek by tubing down the river. It was an unforgettable experience. Thank you to Eddie and his team for a wonderful trip.
