Entire house with parking

Nice, quiet neighbourhood. We appreciated that soap, shampoo and various detergents (for washing dishes as well as for the washing machine) were available. The beds were simple, but relatively comfortable. The parking directly next to the appartment is very convenient. Clear instructions on the check-in and check-out, overall good communication with the host.

The cookware was barely sufficient, the largest cooking pot was damaged with its bottom bent, so it wasn't possible to heat anything in it on the electric hotplate. There could be more plates, soup plates, mugs and glasses. The whole appartment felt a bit austere, there were no decorations, pictures on the wall etc. There were only bright ceiling lights - it would be nice to install several smaller light sources at least in the bedrooms and in the living room. The back door was slightly damaged (a loose hinge?), it constantly gave us trouble to close it.

It was clean, and ideal for stay in Manchester.

We arrived a little too early, so hosts were still cleaning, but gave us access so that we could park. Secure parking is great. Tea, coffee and sugar in the cupboard, there's a shop just around the corner for your milk. Comfy beds, great shower, was a bit surprised to see 3 single beds in 1 room and 1 single in the other, but wasn't really a problem, could've done with extra pillows though. Was a great base for our gig at Castlefield Bowl.

Could do with a TV, but the kids were happy on their phones with the free WiFi Maybe add a toaster?

Earlier reviews mentioned it was stale and worn but we found it renovated, so sparkling clean, good fittings. Supermarket nearby, good service and low fare (6 pounds) by Taxi to main station. Beds comfortable, good shower in a large bathroom. Good wifi. Washing machine (but no detergent) and electric dryer. Kitchen had most of the cooking gear you need but missing some items (see below). Newly refurbished apt in city centre. We needed a medical check and the hospital is 1km walk away. Travellers should know that some British pharmacists can do check-ups. We are Aussies and the medical care was free.

No toaster -in a British house ! Unforgivable. No water or wine glasses, no corkscrew. Kettle but no coffee or tea-making provided. This costs very little and is appreciated when you arrive after a long trip. Not to have to go to the supermarket immediately. No small comforts at all. Very miserly. Sheets are synthetic so not pleasant to sleep in. No summer bed linen available and it was too hot for the Doona. Needs a coffee table in the sitting room. No lamps, only bright overhead ceiling lights. Should supply small amount of washing machine detergent as we don't carry a box with us of course.

Very convenient for what we needed. Car parking just by the house, which is quite comfortable for a family.

Nothing major. Duvet perhaps too big for the season, and small issues with garden door.
