The house was very comfortable and well thought out . Both bedrooms were well designed . The bathrooms were lovely. It was a very relaxing place to be with everything we needed for our stay.

The cottage was cosy and tastefully decorated. We felt right at home. The host was very helpful and supplied us with a batch of freshly laid eggs. The hamlet is very rural and quiet and has an excellent pub.

"Absolutely terrific!"

The owners provided the keys via a lock box, with code sent a few days before. They provided a small bottle of milk, and half a dozen eggs to get started. The house (a really senstively converted barn) is fully provided with all the things you need. There is a bathroom and a shower room, plenty of towels. One double bed and two singles. The kitchen has all that you need in terms of cooking utensils and crockery. The wifi works well. The property owners were charming, and offered the option for us to close the gate, making the garden in front of the property dog proof. The property was provided with leaflets and guidance on all the things to do in the surround area. We were spending a weekend at a big family event nearby so it was perfectly located. It could not have been lovelier.

We liked everything, but others may prefer to know the following: the beds are a little softer than most places; you definitely need a car to dine in Wells itself.

The ladies said it Could do with a bright light on bathroom for makeup as lights were low energy and soft lighting, otherwise great!

Friendly welcome. Warm comfortable accommodation with good space for sitting, eating and cooking as well as two well appointed bathrooms. Lovely open fire with some wood included. Helpful advice about local birding spots. Quick response to a couple of minor 'glitches'.

A bit short of basic kitchen equipment.
