Lower Godney Little House

Wonderfully presented for a relaxing stay. Loved the layout and the choice of decor and furnishings. Leaving some fresh eggs and milk for our arrival was a lovely touch. Everything was as described or better.

The house was quirky and homely,not far from Glastonbury but you would definitely need a car to get about.

The mattress upstairs was a bit too soft and dipped,but it was ok. No hairdryer or ironing board.

Excellent centre for Wells, Glastonbury and RSPB sites etc. Good pub in the village.

The hosts and location were perfect. The property was very comfortable. The enclosed garden for our dogs was a bonus and we loved the big dining table.

A dishwasher would have been nice plus more mugs and glasses rather than just one per person.

Lovely quirky accommodation, cosy and warm with great wood burner, very comfortable beds and in great location

Very noisy central heating, poorly equipped kitchen, unsatisfactory shower, television could have been better situated.

When we first opened the door we were hit with a terrible musty/damp smell. All the sofa’s and bedding felt damp and smelt. There were no protective covers on the bedding/pillows. The pillows are badly stained too. We decided to light a fire on the 2nd night which took forever as no kindling and the logs where damp. The shower upstairs had good water pressure and temperature, the only let down was everything in the bathroom gets wet as it is an open shower and the seal between the shower tray and tiles has failed. Signs of damp downstairs on the ceiling from the shower above. The double bed was soft and no support as we both kept rolling to the middle. The wardrobe downstairs also smelt very musty which transferred to our clothes which were hanging in there. The appearance was one of no standards from the outside, the driveway was all weeds and unloved. To say we are very disappointed is an understatement. Reading all the other reviews we had been looking forward to the stay. Unfortunately we were let down. We left a night early due to the above.
