HAVEN STUDIO GROUND FLOOR

We were looking for a cheap comparison to camping and this was low priced and so better value than camping. The price reflects what to expect, and it was very central to the town.

Found the mattress far too soft and therefore we rolled together and sheets were not fitted, so kept lying on the protector. Had to walk through the wet shower floor to reach toilet, which was not ideal and would not suit less mobile persons.

Good location in Whitehaven. Despite no private on site parking, host is very responsive and helpful in providing nearby parking information. Washing machine and rotary dryer in the courtyard are very handy after a week’s travel with loads of dirty clothes.

The toilet and shower are separated only by shower curtain. Unavoidably toilet floor is always wet. The dining table is too big for 2 people. It would be better to replace it with a smaller one to leave space for luggage. The 2 seater next to the bed takes up the space but one seat being blocked by the bedside table that only one person could use it. The actual furnitures are a bit different from the pictures.

It was a great base for exploring both coastline and lakes and hills. Accommodation was comfortable and near enough to shops without needing to get in the car. Hosts were very good with advice and communication was great. Thank you for a lovely break it was just what the dr ordered!

Had an issue with the keysafe, this was sorted quickly. Everything was within walking distance

The bed was wobbly, the headboard was loose, the mattress sank in the middle. The bathroom/toilet was very small. The sofa came apart (these have been reported). The outdoor area that was advertised was not really usable. Generally the property was tired
