Property Notes

From 1st January 2023, a tourist tax of RM 10 per room per night is applied to all foreign guests. This tax is not included in the room rate and must be paid upon check-in. Guests with a valid Malaysian Identity Card or valid permanent residents MY PR Card are exempted. Dear valued guests and patrons of Telang Usan Hotel, Please be advised, starting on 17th May 2024 until 31st July 2024, the next phase of maintenance and renovation works will be carried out in certain rooms on level 1 of Telang Usan Hotel. These renovations and maintenance works are necessary and will allow our valued guests a much more enjoyable stay at Telang Usan Hotel in future. During the renovation period, work will commence from 08:00 hrs to 17:00 hrs. As a result, there will be some construction noise during this period. However, we will do our best to keep the noise to a minimum. We apologize for any inconvenience it may cause and your understanding is much appreciated.Guests under the age of 18 can only check in with a parent or official guardian. A deposit may be required at the property.

"Super marvelous stay at a great hotel (that exceeds its star rating) and excellent staff"

The breakfast comes in the form of a choices (It was not a buffet) The choice was either Continental or Asian. Both were superb. The Asian choice offers the different options of laksa sarawak (5 star) mee kolok (also 5 star) and mee goreng and congee. This comes with a set of 2 pieces of toasts, eggs (omelette or scrambled or sunny side up) and jam and butter plus coffee or tea. The Continental version are turkey ham, with sausages (beef or chicken) , eggs (omelette or scrambled or sunny side up) and a set of 2 pieces of toasts, eggs (omelette or scrambled or sunny side up) and jam and butter plus coffee or tea. It was really superb.

while the hotel is in the middle of the city, somehow it was tucked away from the main part, hence transport may be an issue. Luckily we have grab and other e-hailing taxis that solved the problem. If one likes to walk to jog, it is within reach of the city centre

"Location is good but the hotel is old."

"Not worth pay with booking.com charges!"

I paid very high price compare to other provider and didn't get breakfast. I pay very high price for the hotel price in booking .com. whereby at agoda only charge RM98 per night (RM100 with breakfast) which Booking.com should not charge such a high price.

price is too high compare other service provider and paying that kind of price, stay at a old property, room has mosquito, bed and pillow was old, blanket was old too. Really not worthy. Regret booking tru booking.com!
