Sunset Shores Beach Hotel

Proximity to beach and close to ferry to young island. Also, while dated, the pool/beachfront area had nice landscaping and furniture. Very nice for lounging and they have a bar right there by the pool if you are into that. Not too far from airport, maybe 15-20 min drive. We stayed here on our last night to enjoy the island a bit more and also be able to check out at noon and head right to the airport.

Restaurant was just ok, breakfast included was nice but nothing special. Restaurant staff quite slow and clueless about menu availability, kept coming to table with different answers. Not any worse than serve staff anywhere else in st Vincent, but if I had to pick something to improve this would be it.

The property has pretty views, a nice pool and rooms are clean. The welcome drinks are a very nice touch! A/c works very well. Staff are very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the boardwalk, and had we stayed longer, the beach would have been great to use. In all, this property suited us fine for our one night stay at the end of our sailing vacation.

Just a couple of things to note. The rooms do not have many electrical outlets, and in our room, 36, the one to plug in the kettle did not work. In order to charge our phones we had to unplug the tv. There is no plug anywhere near a mirror for the hairdryer provided. Not a big deal for a one night stay, but would have been a problem if we were staying longer. On a previous stay we found service in the restaurant at breakfast to be exceptionally slow and food was cold when it was brought to us, so we did not use the restaurant this time.

Really lovely location. Beautiful view of the sea and small islands, also walking distance to some alternative restaurants, etc.

This wasn’t a dislike for the property, however there was one afternoon during our stay that there was a children’s birthday party in the swimming pool. As paying guests, we felt we were unable to use the pool during this time but this had not been communicated by staff it was more the parents who made us all feel it was a private event. However, we do also understand that the children and their families just wanted to enjoy their party.

The location and the staff were nice

I arrived on the Sunday evening to be told my room was not available . Spoke to manager who arranged something till the next day . Then we moved into a room which had electrical issues so we had to be moved to another room which had very low shower pressure. But by then we just bared it and said nothing.
