Mount High Luxury Stables

The look, feel and everything about the place, the staff were super friendly and willing to assist with anything. The feeling of sleeping close to the horses and other animals was awesome, and the electric blankets was a super touch ;)

Beautiful farm , quiet and picturesque

Gas shower , impossible to get the temp control, Lovely hostess who prepared a scrumptious breakfast. Road access is gravel, need a vehicle with reasonable ground clearance, about 7km

Robel the host was fantastic, helpful and friendly. She upgraded our rooms to the main villa and the rooms were stunning and so comfortable, with lounges, patio and a huge kitchen. I would recommend booking at the main house if you can, even if you need to book direct. She sent great directions to help us find the property, which was out of town up a dirt track road for 20 mins. She suggested great places for dinner and breakfast, had the fire roaring when we arrived. The views were stunning and the whole property was immaculate. Lots of hot water and coffee, and wine also available as an honesty bar. Would definately stay again and recommend a stay here!

we had an excellent stay! everyone was so welcoming and caring. the location is just stunning. we has dinner an breakfast and it was outstanding! they have a cat, a dog, goose and three horses. we even saw wild animals. this is a absolute gem!

Exquisitely decorated rooms with the finest Mungo towels, high quality bedding and beds.. Rustic, trendy luxury in a beautiful setting. None of the sites emphasize the ease of the well equipped common kitchen and lounging area.Mount High is up at the top of places we've stayed internationally Ronel and her team went beyond in making our stay very special. A warning - if you go, you might never want to leave

Absolutely nothing not to like

The room was super comfortable, clean and finished with really good quality products. It exceeded our expectations and the bed was so comfy. All the staff were really friendly and welcoming. The additional communal kitchen/lounge is a fantastic addition. Wish we had known and would’ve brought food with us as it’s a hectic drive back to Lydenburg. Best accommodation in the area, by far !

A very long drive from the main road.

The location! Perfectly isolated and nestled in the mountain with fantastic weather all day around. You can hike up the mountain and see all kinds of buck. The calmness the friendly horses bring to the energy of the stables where you lay your head to rest is priceless.
