Villa Mangku in Ricefield

Amazing place. Loved it. Villa is a dream. Really couldnt ask for anything more. Host is as helpful as possible, even can offer extra amenities if someone wishes. Location is outside of Ubud. Need taxi to get there from Ubud BUT the way from Villa to Ubud is a beautiful narrow downhill path between ricefields and jungle river ridge. In our opinion more beautiful than the short and touristy Campuhan walk. Would visit again in the future if possible

This place is perfect and absolutely deserving of its high rating. Location is so peaceful. Easy to get to Ubud either by a 15 minute Gojek or a 45 minute walk entirely through rice fields with small local traders on the way. The air is much cooler (still hot, it's Bali!) being in the rice fields which was nothing but welcomed. Mosquitoes were also no worse here than anywhere else I have stayed. The host is amazing. He made us feel so welcome and ensured we had the best stay possible. The villa is so spacious and decorated beautifully.

Devy is an amazing host, very friendly he drove us around to see the beautiful places in ubud! The villa is well located and very great, we had our own pool to swim whenever we wanted! Highly recommend to book this villa as it was a great time for us there

My friends and I had a lovely time at Devyn’s property. He is extremely polite and friendly, always ready to help us no matter the time or situation. We are very grateful for the hospitality and for the time that we spent at Vila Mangku.

Nothing, we liked everything.

The villa is in the middle of lush green ricefields, you see fireflies at night, swim in the pool, enjoy breakfast watching the ricefields, go for morning run with mother nature. The Villa helper Wayan treated us like her kids.. fed us amazing food. Cooked as per our needs including local cuisine. Villa owner Devi and Kadek made us feel part of their family. We participated in local ceremonies with them and even visited their family home. No traffic noise, only birds and frogs..

There is a 10min walk from main road to villa. It does not have car access as I knew at time of booking. For disabled / aged, it might be difficult.

Very clean and kept in very good condition like on the photos. The owner of the property was amazing, greeted us with bag of fruits and was very helpful.

The best thing about staying at this property was the customer service. Devy meets you at the house on day number one and gives you everything you need. He arranged scooters to be dropped off at our villa for a day rental. He took us to the volcano at 2AM and arranged for a tour guide to take us up the mountain. He arranged for someone to pick up, wash, and then return our laundry. He finally took us to the airport when our stay was complete. Top notch customer service. House was also cleaned every day. And to top all of that off, the house is far from exquisite. It’s like a hidden gem on top of a hill surrounded by traditional rice fields. You can walk down the hill to the Main city of Ubud and walk through all the rice fields. You’ll pass a yoga studio, countless hidden cafes and restaurants and just good vibes. We couldn’t have been happier.
