Hotel Océan Beach Sakatia

Nice place to disconnect a couple of days from the outside world. The hotel is located on a secluded beach with wonderful crystal waters. Staff is very friendly and food is ok. Walk to the village is very easy and no paid excursion is needed for that.

To see the turtles you actually need to join an excursion since they are not in the bay in front of the hotel. Experience is anyhow worth it. Food could be improved. Though very fresh it is very ripetitive and rather dry

Nice beaches

Busy with construction. Run by a manager. Clear no owner involvement. Basic investment missing. Run out of beer and cola because a manager forgot to order. Friends and staff drink all day out of their own cool boxes ona Sunday. Guests constantly had to request to tone down the music. Cats jumping on guests tables eating g their food despite one customer making it clear she was allergic to cats. Ran out of toilet paper twice. Builders working with n front of your room from 730 Beach loungers worn and in need of replacement. Some meals ok some not.

The hotel ground are quite literally stunning. You have a private beach with incredible sunsets every night. There is a pool and the dining area looks out over the ocean. The staff are so so helpful and sort out everything for you and all of your itineraries. They also sorted all of our transport to and from the hotel. There are turtles in the water which you can snorkel and see and you can also take boat trips around the island. I really recommend this place, it’s totally unique!

Everything about our stay was spectacular. It felt like the type of holiday big shot influencers get paid to have. Private beach, room with a view of it, chef would approach us before every meal to give us a menu of the day and take our order, welcome drinks, everything was stunning

Nothing! Except that we didn't have more time

The hotel is situated on the West side of the island with fantastic view of sunsets. It is secluded in its own bay. They have some bungalows with ocean views and I would highly recommend that you try to get one. You will have an unobstructed view of the sunset. The only downside to these bungalows is to get to the highest one it is a hike up the stone stairs but it's worth it. The bungalows vary in size and priced accordingly. The food is ranges from good to great. Great Staff. All speak French and Malagasy. English fluency ranged from good to just a little. The entire staff is Malagasy. The grounds are well maintained as well as all the structures.

Lighting on the paths at night could be improved in some spots but nothing dangerous.
