It was clean. Breakfast and beverages provided.

No duvet, just a throw and the sofa bed was very uncomfortable. A lot of dogs barking.

"If you want to be immersed in nature but don't want to rough it this is a great place to stay."

10.0

The property we were in was more a small chalet than a clamping pod. It had a bedroom with ensuite separate from the kitchen/living area. It was all very clean and there was complimentary tea/coffee and a few sweet goodies. The outside decked area was a fabulous extra living space overlooking a field with horses in.

A gutter on the back of the property would be a nice addition as when it was raining you could hear a lot of drip, drip, drip while sitting in the living area. That said, we didn't spend that much time inside as we were either out or using the decked area at the front.

Lots of thoughtful touches e.g. sweet treats. The bbq meant that outdoor cooking was easy. Shower was large and modern.

The loft bed - too low for a 16 year old. Lack of TV - although this was in the listing.

"Lovely Glamping pod in beautiful setting close to Stirling"

8.0

The setting was lovely, in the countryside with views of mountains and paddocks, yet close to Stirling. The property was spotlessly clean. Information provided for access was excellent and the owner followed up with a text after arrival.

The bed was a sofa bed and uncomfortable to sleep on with ridges in unexpected places. The breakfast (included in the price) majored on sweet items, some cheese portions and fruit would have been a welcome addition. That said, there was plenty of food and the owner checked if more was needed for the second day.

"Great family fun in beautifully decorated pods!"

10.0

Devon River pods were a fantastic find! We stayed as two family groups with small children and the two family pods with shared open terrace were fantastic for the kids to run between each room. I would class these as lodges rather than pods as they are decorated to a much higher spec than any glamping pod I’ve stayed in before- they really are beautiful and the swing on the terrace was a hit with the wee ones. The welcome package was also lovely - not only was tea, coffee and milk provided (you don’t always get that in standard glamping pods) but the hosts went the extra mile providing tea cakes, caramel wafers and irn bru which was a really fab Scottish touch and I’m sure will be a hit with visitors from outside Scotland. The kids loved being able to walk around the stables and meet the ponies (thanks to the staff for showing us around) but our favourite part was the chiminea and seating area beside the pods- the kids absolutely loved toasting marshmallows here and after we used all our logs on day one it was no issue for our host to drop off another bag to us on the second day (free of charge). Overall a really lovely stay and I’m sure we’ll be back!

Nothing!
