Devon River Glamping Pods

Very nice location with very helpful owner and enough facilities to make it a very pleasant holiday.

The only downside was that the toilet is right up against the wall with no space for shoulders or bum! You have to sit sideways.😄

Dog shit on the grass outside, and a lot of it.

Clean, relaxing accommodation in a quiet setting. Hosts were attentive and provided plenty of information and recommendations. Nothing was too much bother. A few little treats welcomed us and the coffee/tea/milk were appreciated. The setting is idyllic and the views spectacular. The gorgeous foal was an added bonus.

We didn't stay longer! A kitchen knife would have been useful but I believe I would have been given one if I'd asked.

The pod was very well decorated., clean and tidy. Liked the decking, chairs, and fire pit with logs that you can use as a bbq too. Liked the space, kitchen and bathroom areas. Location was good, looking at fields, couple of horses and plenty dogs. Quiet The towels and bedding was excellent quality and smelled beautiful. Made me feel like everything was pristine. The lady who calls you with instructions and you can text/call was incredibly nice and friendly. She was so helpful and attentive.

Need some hand soap although I used the free shower gel and I suppose the fairy liquid that is available works. The blanket is soft and large but we did have a tug of war with it, I wonder if 2 smaller ones would be better?! Maybe not, just a thought. Breakfast was a bit boring, 2 slices of bread each, 2 croissants each, a banana each and lotus biscuits each. You do get marg but it really wasn't enough for 3 slices of toast never mind 4 and croissants. You do get little jams though. I absolutely hate the tiny little sachets (more like little tubs) of milk, they are terrible. We had 1 coffee each, used all 8 of the uht sachets and it was still too strong. In the morning I asked for milk and was delivered in a mason jar, that really made me smile as a coffee lover who needs a decent one in the morning. But, I would have brought milk if I'd known. This is purely personal taste.

Everything was great for me

Lovely location. Chalet was small, but perfectly organised with everything you need. Kary couldn’t have been more helpful, really fabulous host.

The pod was well equipped and good use made of the space. The views from the pod were lovely. Communication with the owner was good.

The corner sofa bed was very uncomfortable for both of us. The hot water ran out whilst I was washing my hair in the shower, ended up boiling the kettle to rinse my hair. The breakfast basket was not replenished for our second morning. Very intermittent signal on the television.

Breakfast. Self made breakfast, two croissant. Butter no. Two jam for four people for two day. Just instant coffee. No milk.
