Cottage was quaint, clean & tastefully decorated to the period. Friendly host. Lovely breakfast.

Finding the cottage initially difficult. Could do with more signage.

Lovely farmhouse, tastefully decorated and very comfortable. Room was spacious and well-planned out to accommodate us and the dog. Breakfast was lovely except we found it rather strange that the granola was already portioned out into the bowl. However, it was delicious and I'm sure the host would have provided a second helping if we had asked.

The temperature hit 7C and there was no heating in the bathroom so rather cold to take showers.

"Delightful countryside escape, with some facilities improvements needed"

7.0

Richard was very friendly and accommodating thorough out stay in the property. Freshly cooked breakfast and wonderful cozy fireplace to relax after dinner were the absolute highlights. Humphrey the cat and his cuddly attention also made their mark :)

The bed wasn't very comfortable (sinked in the middle as it was too soft) and walls weren't very sound proof - you could hear next room's conversations very clearly. Our room specified private bathroom but it was outside the room. One of the days we ended up having to shower with cold water as the tank had run out of hot one. They confirmed they are upgrading the capacity to a bigger one.

"It was a nice house, we couldn't fault the breakfast, but lots of things let this B&B down."

5.0

The breakfast was lovely. The location was good for where we needed to be (between the start and finish points of a section of the Severn Way). We were on a walking holiday and taking packed lunches. The host kindly kept our food in their fridge (pre-arranged).

1. It might be good to include a warning about the state of one of the roads to the B&B. It was steep, narrow & riddled with potholes. The alternative route was fine but we didn't know about that until we'd arrived in the dark on the Friday evening and used the bad road. 2. The description provided about walking across the garden isn't great. We arrived in the dark. There were a few garden lights on but they didn't really light the way very well. A sensor light came on but it didn't cast much light where it needed to be. We had to go carefully on a narrow path, with rucksacks & bags, between the house and the bank of a garden, and shrubs (some prickly) were trailing branches over our path. One of us has impaired vision and one is unsteady on feet, having suffered a break and a sprain. 3. The double bed was very uncomfortable. Way too soft, there was a hump down the middle from which the mattress sloped out to both edges of the bed; we struggled to keep ourselves in the bed. I always sleep well wherever I am and this was the 2nd worst night's sleep I've ever had. 4. No warning about the twin room being next to the boiler, which kept my friends awake. 5. There was shampoo in the shower but no soap for either of the sinks. This was provided when we asked about it. 6. In looking for the soap, we found this - see attached pic! It was the same in both bathrooms. 7. Rooms were very dusty. 8. There was a problem with the electricity. Kettle in double room blew, some of the lights in the property went off. The next day when I used the hairdryer in the same socket the kettle had been in, the hairdryer went off, and at the same time my friend was in the shower and the water went cold.

I really nice old farm house in a quiet Cotswolds nook, not too far from the Cotswolds Way. Charles cooked us a delicious breakfast as well.

Lovely friendly gentleman who gave us a warm welcome. He was very accomadating and allowed me to leave my stuff early in the morning while I went to the wedding venue to get ready with the bride and he brought my suitcases to my room.
