The scenary was beautiful and Humphry the cat was very welcoming.

Very strong smell of dog wee. Upstairs carpet on the landing was full of what looked like marks from dogs peeing. No locks on bedroom doors. Bathroom toilet seat wasn't even fitted on. Every time anyone so much as turned a tap on or flushed a toilet it would set a rather loud pump off. Not funny when your trying to sleep. Sold as a Deluxe room, far from it. Upstairs hall light hanging off. We do have a dog of our own and have stayed in places with our dog so do understand that it is hard to keep a place 100% free from doggie smells. I could go on but these are the main points we were not happy with. It appears the owners have just given up on the place. Which is a shame as the building is beautiful and the gentlemen was very pleasant. I really hope this review is not taken as malicious in any shape or form. I leave this review in the hope that the owners click on, on what needs to be changed to make it a pleasant stay for future guests. Get them carpets professionally cleaned.
