My sister and I had a lovely stay at the Riad. The cleaning was exceptional, with the room cleaned every day to a very high standard. The staff were all very friendly and helpful.

This Riad has real character and is a lovely space in a busy part of the Medina. Its communal courtyard is ideal for rest and relaxation.

Unfortunately there is no signage, not even on the entrance door in a dark back alley and sometimes we had to wait to gain entry in the middle of the day. There is no complimentary water for the bedroom. The food and drink prices are quite expensive with no menus to reference. We were charged €22 each for just a lump of chicken (piping hot on the outside, but cold deep inside) with no bread, no couscous and no vegetables. There was also construction noise daily which we were not informed about beforehand.

It was overly expensive for the room that I stayed. I booked the Riad because I liked the rooms and bathtub which was very disappointing to see after checking in the Riad, it didn’t look how it was advertised plus I had issue with the hot water, me and my niece almost burnt ourselves while showering. I was looking forward to spending some quality quiet time and getting in to my bathtub, but none of that I could enjoy. My bathroom was very dark and bathtub was really dirty. I had to put layers of towels to get in for a shower, which was also the worst experience, the water will run from very cold to very hot and then at the normal temperature, a normal 5 to 10 minute shower took us 50 minutes to shower. The staff tried to fix the issue by calling in the plumber, but unfortunately didn’t fix the problem, neither did they accomodate us in a different room which I asked for it after checking in on the first night, and having the experience of burning myself that night. I woke up in the morning by the loud banging noise of construction which went on till the day I checked out. I wish they would have informed us about the construction work that had to go on for several days so I could book another Riad to relax and enjoy the holidays that I was looking forward to. Our host Riad Mazarian des gourmets had obligations towards their guests,their comfort and having the best experience at their Riad which they failed to provide us. I was so disappointed for the price which I paid for.

It is located in the heart of the Medina where everything happens but once you get in it is very quiet and relaxing. The staff are so nice, specially Fatima. From day one Fatima treated us with so much love, kindness and care, she was definitely the highlight of our stay and if I ever come back to Marrakech I will stay here just to see Fatima again. Please remind her every day how valuable she is and how much light she brings to this place. No woman should ever be made to feel guilty for working, being independent, or wanting more for herself. The hospitality, warmth, and care she gives to strangers from all over the world is something rare and beautiful, and it deserves respect, support, and admiration, never control. Women like her need to be encouraged, not silenced.

I wish the terrace was open so we could tan.

It was very well organised and extremely clean. It also just looked absolutely stunning and the beds were super comfortable. Also the staff was friendly.

Prices for certain facilities like food and drinks can be a bit expensive. Also, there was a lot of construction happening so it could get a bit loud.
