Very friendly staff. Good communication. There was a lack of water in the bathroom and kitchen and it was fixed immediately.

There were students praktising instruments next door, maybe a school for music. If you are out all day, it will not bother you.

Unser Taxifahrer hatte große Probleme das Haus zu finden & Zugang zum Haus erfolgt über eine sehr schmale, steile Treppe (Achtung bei viel Gepäck oder körperlicher Einschränkung) :)

The guest house is located in the heart of Stone Town and close to all attractions and restaurants. The rooms are also spacious

There was no access to hot water for showering and cleaning for the entire 6 nights of our stay. We stayed in guest room 1 and the hot water switch is located inside guest room 2, which was occupied for the duration of our stay, meaning we had to have freezing cold showers. We were able to use the shower in room 4 once and even then, then hot water only lasted for approximately 2 minutes due to the tanks being so small. Room 1 bathroom is located right next to the Lounge area with the sink outside in the Lounge area, meaning we had to wash/brush our teeth in front of guests, which was very uncomfortable. The location being in the heart of stone town meant that it is incredibly noisy at night and it was very hard to sleep. Most nights it didn’t go quiet until almost midnight. With families living opposite the guest house, there is regularly screaming and shouting from children, and regular loud music being plaid at other nearby by venues. The beds are very hard and with only 1 very flat pillow provided. We both ended up with bad back ache. Our room was not cleaned for 4 days and our bins were overflowing and towels getting very smelly. We had to approach housekeeping to ask them to clean our room, when we found her just sat around in the Lounge area watching videos on her phone for over an hour. We used the microwave in the kitchen and small cockroaches came out from underneath. We did not use the kitchen again after this.

Great location for Stonetown, Masoud was super helpful.

The hot water system was so tricky that neither of us was able to have a hot shower during our stay. The lavatory was new but not fixed in place so it rocked when used. The front door lock required several attempts before it locked/unlocked.

The location was absolutely extraordinary. It was right in the middle of everything. Everything was better than any of the photos that were provided. Shani who greeted me was absolutely extraordinary and a complete angel. She made my stay really wonderful. Wahida was also very helpful and patient

I feel like the place could be better identified with either nameplate or a number or even better descriptor and I’ve already had this conversation with Wahida, who said she would implement everything I said. I can only gather other people did not have the challenge that I had in finding it after traveling for 15/16 hours, I just believe the easier it is to find the place the better for everyone involved.
