For me it was absolutely perfect. Nice room , nice bathroom , in the middle of stonetown . Very good communication with the owner via email :-)

Take care on the stairs , if you are older than twenty years ;-)

The mattress on the bed was totally worn out. You were literally laying in a massive hole. The location is very loud. There were no sheets on the bed. The room was on the top floor with a steep narrow staircase so small I couldn't bring my suitcase up. The location is central but super loud all night

Waking distance to everything, the beach, restaurants, Darajani Market, House of Wonders, Freddie Mercury House

It is located in the busy street. Noise at night, musical instruments playing during the day but the fan and air conditioner helped to tone down the noise

Absolutely amazing value for the money! It is in the heart of Stone Town, so of course it is noisy outside, but that is the price to pay to be in the center of the city. Really nice staff and clean rooms. If we come back to Stone Town we will be booking this again.

The only thing I would change for next time is to ask for a room with a bathroom inside of the room. Because even though our bathroom was private, we had to go through the common room to reach it. And my feedback is to add maybe extra soap on the sink 😊

Served its purpose for a couple of nights based in the heart of Stone Town. All places of interest within short walk of accommodation. Staff very informative & helpful, would definitely recommend.

I liked the location. I liked the price. Once we pointed out to the ownership the many issues we encountered, they made some efforts to correct them.

This is not a hotel. This is not a hostel. This is an Air B and B. And not very well run. First, there was no one to check us in. There was no reception. The person who we were told to contact did not respond to us. There was no sign out front indicating where the place was. We had no way to get in. We waited outside until one of the other guests let us in. Our room was not ready. Our room was not cleaned. We had no way to get the keys to our room. Eventually, someone showed up and said that they would be able to clean our room in several hours. They said we could place our bags in a room and that they would be brought up to the room when the rooms were cleaned. We left. In the evening we came back. Our rooms were not cleaned. More than that, they were dirty. We had no towels. We had no bar soap. We tried to contact the owner. She picked up. She sent someone to clean the rooms. The person gave us towels. We still had no bar soap. There were no TVs in the rooms. We found a tick on the bed and killed it. No one had any idea what we were talking about when we told them where we were staying and gave them the name of the place.

Just as advertised! Good wifi, hot water in the shower, no air con in our room but fans and a mosquito net provided. Right in the heart of the stone town hustle and bustle but everyone on the street was very friendly and helpful getting us into the house- not intimidating even with all the movement and chaos below.

Hard to find- there is no proper signage and we had to ask around to find it but otherwise wonderful.
