Zanzibar Spice Nest House

The apartment was at a good location, very central. The owner was very good at communicating and helpful. The apartment was spacious and had a lockable drawer (a bit like a safe) in the twin room. The owner arranged for their driver to take us to the airport at the end of our stay for 15USD, this was very helpful and handy as it was prompt. Having a fridge and good WiFi was very good.

The air conditioning was very poor in the double room, it was very difficult to sleep in that room, we had to take it in turns to sleep there and in the twin room. The water system was very temperamental to work. As a family of four we booked out the whole apartment. As a couple, I would still recommend booking out the whole apartment otherwise the living room and kitchen was shared. The double has an ensuite but the twin room has a bathroom in the shared area. The pillows were extremely thin and lumpy. Their was no base for the kettle, only 1 saucepan and not enough big spoons for 4 people.

Location location location! This was a fantastic spot in the heart of Stone Town, close to everything and at an affordable price. It has AC in the room which is crucial. The hosts were very responsive, communicative, and friendly, and the airport pick-up was seamless.

This place has a quirky water tank system where you have to remember/monitor filling up the tank, otherwise you run out of water while taking a shower, but once you learn it, it's very easy to manage.

Spacious and clean. Would definitely stay here again. Great location as well

Accommodatio is in the middle of Stone Town. The Darajani market is few minutes walking and the market close to Old Fort is even closer.

The room was wide and clean.

The house keeper never answered the messages and calls. Other’s guests couldn’t get inside for check-in and played the bell a lot. The hot water doesn’t work every time. The propriety charged more money than the reservation in the booking app and I needed to ask for refund. The toilet was not private as a reservation but to share with other guests!

Spacious and clean room. Clean bathroom and shower. Very well located, walking distance to every main place in stone town. Good support from owner with tours.

We did not really need it, but I think they forgot to give us towels. But this was not a problem for us at all
