I stayed at the accommodation for 3 nights with my husband during late October 2024. I cannot express enough how much we enjoyed the stay! The food (dinner and breakfast) was absolutely amazing-they won’t leave you hungry for sure, would recommend also to vegetarians! The room was pretty basic as visible in the pictures, but had all you can possibly need and was extremely clean. The bed was comfortable and I also loved the soft linen. All toiletries (even toothbrush and toothpaste) are available. The location is very convenient for visiting Kolsay and Kaindy lake. I actually loved the fact that this hotel was not located in Saty as it had much cleaner air during the evenings (the majority of houses are heated with coal) and the wiew of the mountains from the window was incredible! The hotel staff was lovely, helpful and always available to help, although they speak very little English, we managed to communicate pretty well. Overall, if you are visiting this area, I would highly recommend this accommodation!

- Very nice family running the hotel - we had an emergency that required us to shift our dates and they were very flexible in accommodating that - Good home-cooked meals - New building, comfortable bed, hot water - Tea and water available at any time - Great location, beautiful views and some nice walks through the mountains nearby

- As many people note, only limited 3G connection, no wifi, just be aware - The hotel can sometimes get crowded and a bit noisy on the ground floor, try to get a room upstairs if possible - Not in the town of Saty - so bring snacks/food (they provide a fridge)

We had a delightful stay. The food was good and hearty, and the owner was friendly and accommodating. The house gave a farmhouse vibe, as we could see horses and cows grazing in the field from our room window. There was a small stream just a short walk from the property, with beautiful view of the snow capped mountains. Their dog, chapa, accompanied us on our walks around the village, and what a lovely company she was!

The hot water tank in the bathroom is rather small so it sometimes runs out.

Lovely location and clean rooms

The Google map doesn’t show proper location , we spent around 1 hours finding it as network is also an issue in that area , they should have some signage or replied to our message on booking.com beforehand…..

Easy to spot and well signposted as you enter the remote village as we had been concerned it might be hard to find with Google Maps suggesting the hotel was in Kosay instead. The building was fantastic, modern and clean with a good sized bedroom which was very comfortable with a hot shower. Considering where we were it surpassed all expectations. Then the food, the dinner for just 3,000 Tenge per person was the best we had all trip. If you want to sample traditional homemade Kazakh food, it's worth coming here for that alone. Course after course of tasty food and left us completely full after a long day driving from Almaty. Breakfast was fabulous too. The hosts, despite a language barrier, were very communicative with us and very warm and welcoming. The surroundings were incredible too. Tucked into a remote valley with stunning views from either side. Overall staying here was one of the highlights from our 10 day trip travelling in Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan. If you want to travel to Saty and the Kolsai Valley, then you should this will guesthouse, especially as it is one of the best priced in the area from what we could find.

The only very, very minor issue was the shower curtain was falling down when using the shower. But apart from that there were no complaints.
