INThe house was clean when I arrived. The staff was really polite. The place is about 10 minutes walk from the nearest market.
The room was a bit harder for me to find. Apart from that, everything was fine.
GBGBGBGood breakfast, good choice, but go early or the cooked breakfast is a bit on the cold side. Awful coffee.
The duvet was too flimsy and the room was a bit cold with no means to turn on any heating. A wool blanket did appear on the last day which helped.

No room ventilation. No soundproofing. Noise from buses and motorcycles. Very early check-out time. No TV.
GBLocation was central enough but quiet and peaceful. Breakfast was fine. Room was basic but sufficient.
Room decor was rather scruffy and faded. Curtains insufficient to keep out lights from roadway outside. Room cold in the evening and thermostat didn't seem to work.
GBGorgeous college and gardens. Very helpful and charming porters, who brought us extra blankets as the room was a bit chilly.
The bedroom and bathroom were a bit basic, but it was a student room in college, so to be expected.

IEYou are staying in an authentic Cambridge college and the grounds and buildings are stunning. The porters and staff are also extremely helpful

GBAs the University spreads westward, the heart of the University has moved away from the centre and Selwyn College is now an optimal location. The room was typically a student room, but warm and comfortable with an unexpectedly spacious en suite. The full English breakfast was very good, and the bar/cafe was a very congenial place to meet up with colleagues.
I had problems connecting to the on-site WiFi, and had to vacate the car park soon after check-out.
