It was everything I would have wanted. Beautifully clean place, great host who gave us advice for dinner and wonderful quiet location. It's so refreshing to arrive somewhere that actually looks better then the photo and reviews!

We stayed here for 3 nights on our biketour around Japan. The location is right within Akizuki Castle Town with plenty of things to see around. It's a very beautiful old town, charming in any direction. The ryokan is beautiful and comfortable. We loved the kitchen with a very nice collection of tableware and plenty of cookware to use. The host lady prepares breakfast for us everyday with eggs, bacon, bread, jam, yogurt, etc. Overall it was an amazing experience. We highly recommend this ryokan!

If you want to be away from the big cities and enjoy the peace and quiet. I highly recommend your stay here in Akitauki - the host was very nice and the townsfolk are just as welcoming. The air was crisp and mountain view was breath taking.

Quiet location in a small, quiet, historic town. Comfortable room, substantial breakfast included. Laundry facilities available. Very private. Outdoor space (deck) connected to our room.
Deck was not totally clean. We would have used tools to keep our space cleaner if made available to us. Shared bathroom was not ideal.

Very nice home stay at Japan’s countryside. The owner is super friendly and the accommodation has everything for a comfortable stay. Akizuki is very cute.
