"Nice place, nice staff, food lets it down"

Very clean. Comfortable bed.

Food menu wasn’t that extensive. More like pub grub and the menu didn’t change. Stayed 3 nights and we struggled with what we’d like to have after the 2nd night.

"Unsure I'd return, is hard to accept it being not as good as it use to be decades ago."

Man at reception was very welcoming/helpful. The location is excellent. Have been staying at random intervals since 1980's.

Breakfast waiter service and food presentation was not good.

Stunning location. Very friendly, helpful & professional staff. Excellent breakfast and 3 course dinner. Spotlessly clean, well presented and looked after period hotel. As the hotel is owned by the Duke & Duchess of Devonshire, as a guest you get complimentary access to the Bolton Abbey Estate and to the spa/gym at the other estate hotel The Devonshire Arms Hotel which is a 15 minute drive away.

Spacious and comfortable room, stylish decor. Very nice quality toiletries in bathroom. Breakfast and dinner both very good, tasty and well presented. Staff all very welcoming and friendly

Hot water supply variable- I had one hot shower, and one tepid shower, not pleasant.

"Lovely hotel, great views and comfortable room"

Great views, friendly staff, comfortable bed

Needs a more powerful Shower head, somewhere to store toilet bags and a shampoo/shower gel holder near shower end
