The Penthouse At Quayside

Great location, parking on site a real bonus, super convenient for exploring York.

Lovely apartment, extremely well equipped kitchen, comfortable and cosy, comfortable bed and easy walk into the city centre - just a few minutes away to shops, pubs, cafes etc.

We stayed just after York flooded and being riverside the lift was out of order due to the mechanics being flooded, and the parking space was unavailable due to emergency utilities requirements. No call on either point or email, so for people with disabilities or health issues the stairway climb and car park walk would have been a problem.

The apartment was spacious and comfortable. The kitchen has an exceptional number of appliances, ideal for all requirements. The allocated parking space was perfect, parked up for the duration and the location perfect to just walk into the city centre.

We arrived after a significant flood, we can only assume this was responsible for the lift being out of action. Also, we needed to push the stairway light switches several times to activate the lights.

Very comfortable and in a great location.

Exceptional property! Great location, 2 minute walk to the centre. Brilliantly equipped with all modern cons, no expense spared. We loved all the board games too, never seen so many!

Nasty smell in En suite bathroom possible from the drains ( understand there had been recent flooding.) Something to consider - While I can understand the need to keep a unit clean, it seems a little cheeky to ask your guests to take out the garbage when they leave. Hotel’s don’t ask you to do that before you check out. !!
