MD Tropical Sea Apartment

Lina was very helpful in supporting elderly parents with physical help and guidance. She has immense knowledge of the city. The apartment was clean and had enough amenities. Though balcony was small, had the sea view.

First night, there was loud music from somewhere in the street. From the 2nd night, it was ok.

Clean and professional staffs.

There are not enough plates and no chopping board.

Spacious 2 bedroom apartment with living room and kitchen, TV, balcony, 2 bathrooms. Great location right next to the beach and a lot of food options and mini market around the area.

Initially booked for 5 nights, planning to extend for another 3 weeks, but decided not to extend our stay. The biggest reason was the very strong mold smell. You could see the mold on the bathroom ceilings, but also in one of the bedrooms, which made it impossible to sleep there. The mold smell is in the whole building, we visited several floors to see if there could be other apartments we could rent, with no luck. We turned the air conditioning on, hoping the smell would disappear, but it didn't. Only after cleaning the very dirty AC filters, the air got a little bit better. They could at least clean the filters regularly, but it was obvious this was neglected. We went looking for other places nearby and seen that other hotels have similar issues with mold, we assume this is due to the high humidity. Still, we were able to find 3 other hotels nearby where this wasn't an issue (Hotel Palazzo 1, 2 and 3), so, if you are planning to stay for long-term, we highly advise to do the same. There are plenty of hotels in the area, it's worth going to see the room before booking long-term. Other issues with the apartment: 1. We paid extra for the seaview apartment which in the picture showed a beautiful wide view of the ocean. What we got was an obscured view of ocean, between two buildings. Be aware that the pictures do not match the apartment you will get. They said that they have multiple apartments in the building, so you will get whichever one was available. They offered to give us another apartment with great seaview if we wanted to extend for another 3 weeks, but we declined due to the same mold isssue. 2. The advert says the kitchen is well fitted, with a microwave. There was no microwave, and the knives did not cut properly, also the dishes were poorly washed. 3. Soundproof walls: not really. We could hear others through the walls as well as one bedroom had a small sliding window that was opening to the floor's hallway.

Location next to the beach, high floor. Great wifi speed for remote working. Quite good for money and a stay of 10 nights.

Some minor issues, but it was ok.
