ZAZAThe booking policy is very clear: you reserve your booking on Booking.com and are required to pay ON ARRIVAL AT THE GUEST HOUSE. It is unambiguous. Yet, a mere 2 hours before my check-in time, I got a message from the guest house telling me that they will not be able to honour my booking because they were full. I asked how that can be because I booked in advance. They told me that the people there had arrived and had paid and this took preference. Now, that is absolute nonsense. What it means is that they got greedy for liquidity and took other bookings after mine because they were paying immediately. Now, that is not my problem as the guest. Do not have a payment on arrival policy if you’re then going to take other bookings and tell them to pay before, then screw other guests over. That’s dishonest conduct; absolutely deplorable. It took multiple calls from me before they could then change and say I could come. I obviously then did not go, because I can’t trust them with my safety. I purposefully ignored them afterwards because they are a joke of an establishment.
