Gwel An Keynvor Penthouse

Ive Just came back today and stayed at this Place for three days. It was relaxing/reliable and worth staying at this Penthouse. Location- 10/10 Cleanliness-10/10 Comfort -10/10 I didn’t feel like im staying outside side of my house it was so relaxing and everything is upto the point.

Lovely view and top appliances and atmosphere

My second time staying, as the first was great! The location was excellent and had lovely views. The apartment itself was clean and tidy, as usual. Everything worked as expected and the host was very accommodating. 100% would stay every time I’m visiting Newquay.

The property was amazing with spectacular views. The festive touches were wonderful too, a Christmas tree and decorations that made it feel so warm and welcoming. The thoughtful extras really stood out: tea, coffee, sugar, salt, pepper, milk, and plenty of snacks were provided. There’s a coffee machine with plenty of pods. Washing machine has a supply of washing liquid. Everything was spotless and cleaned to a very high standard. Parking is available on-site, though with a larger car it was a little tricky to maneuver. If needed there’s a car park just a minute’s walk away that offers free parking from 5pm to 9am, a great alternative. The hosts were incredibly responsive and helpful throughout our stay. This is truly a place worth staying if you’re looking for somewhere special in Newquay.

The floors were a little slippery. But not were deducting marks for! Keep in mind that the penthouse is on the third floor with quite a few stairs to climb. While this wasn’t a problem for us, it may make the property less suitable for some guests.

Great location and fantastic views from the deck. Communication from host was great as well. The Penthouse itself was amazing. It has everything you need. And the rooms are a fantastic size. 2 bathrooms and the shower was amazing. Its a short walk to the grocery shop and other shops. I came with my daughters. And they loved it as well. Little bithday long weekend away. It was like a home from home.

The location and aspect of the property is tremendous. Beautiful view from the outside space and easy access into town. The property is lovely and well equipped from the kitchen to the games. The welcome box was a kind gesture.

So, I hate to write a negative review and I hope to provide some context for my scores. My first comment is around the assumption of the use of one bedroom, there were only two of us but one was my adult son so we required two beds. The property is 3 bedroom and any other property of this size I have rented (and I do rent a good number across the year) would have the bedrooms made up regardless of the number of people staying...just gives an unfinished vibe...however is minor in the grand scheme of things. The bedrooms in general, in comparison to the living areas felt sparse and the main bedroom furniture was damaged (bedside cabinet and chest) which looked a little scruffy given the cost of the rental. The main issue was two fold, one you get a lovely welcome pack but no hand wash or hand soap in the bathrooms was something that I have not come across before (I bought some and left it there) and this seemed odd given again the quality and price of the rental. We then had a major issue with the hot water and there was only myself and my son...he had a shower on day one and I was unable to have a hot shower for the duration of the stay The owner was responsive and came out quickly but the problem was unresolved. I was completely understanding of the issue he explained however his parting words (we had another night there), were that they would sort something out for me for the inconvenience. I heard nothing. This was so disappointing. The apartment is straight across the road from another of my children and perfect for my visits but I would now hesitate to book again at the risk of no hot water/heat. If we had been full occupancy 5/6 people and I was last in the shower then I could understand it, but to have one hot shower between two of us for our stay was not great. We were offered a late check out the last day, however we were leaving anyway so this was no benefit to me.

A lovely apartment with excellent facilities and an absolutely amazing view of Newquay and the sea. Everything worked as expected and it was just overall a really wonderful stay.

The TVs in the master bedroom and living room were uncooperative at first. Had to turn them on and off again at the wall to get them to work.
