West Japan Kyoto Kiyomizu

Great and clean stay! The room was very nice and even though we booked a double bed, the bed looked big enough to be a king! Very walkable to some great sites. The check in time ends at 7:30pm but the staff was kind enough to give us instructions to check in late around 9:00pm (especially since we were stressing about it!) would stay again :)

It was awesome and would definitely come back if I could.

Stayed here for 4 nights during our two week Japan trip. This stay is probably one of my favorites of all time. Room rate was very reasonable, room was big compared to most Japanese hotels. Washer is a big bonus, there was a kitchen stoves too but we did not use it. Everything was in great condition and felt new, free umbrellas for guests to use. Great location, within walking distance to Kiyomizu and Hōkan-ji Temple. Bus stops right outside on main street, though buses can get overcrowded.

Property is in nice neighborhood, very close to bus stops/routes (<2 min), directly accessible from Kyoto station. Hotel is near several tourist locations and immediately walkable. Room size is decent with table, with washer but no dryer. Not a lot of drying rack/space though, and there is no external area to dry it outside. Not a lot of utensils/plates, but we made do. Electric locks for main door and room access was somewhat unexpected, not sure if this is the norm nowadays (haven't traveled internationally since before covid). Lots of clean towels, and only one room cleaning during our 5 day stay, and evidently there wouldn't have been any if we had stayed for fewer days. Used towels/garbage left at door in early morning for takeaway. Front door office staff, but only for limited hours during the day. Overall, nice stay and convenient access to public transportation.

This property has a great location! The rooms are modern, nice and clean! Highly recommend it!

The property is very new. Very good communication but be aware of the check-in hour. If you past the check in hour, they will send you the building entry code and room number. Make sure you can receive text in Japan. Overall it is a very good experience.

We (partner and 10 year old) loved this place- great location in the old town, quiet, lovely staff who were always so helpful (allowed us to store our luggsge on the last day, free umbrellas to use). Verr clean and tidy room, very comfortable beds, hot shower. I loved having a window that opened to a small balcony (to help dry washing too). Admittedly there wasn't a lot of room in the bedroom with three suitcases but overall a fabulous place with staff who responded quickly to emails and always greeted us warmly. Great value for money place- would stay there again.
