Ostello San Marco Cortona

Lovedd my stay there the hostel is huge and right in the town everything is super close. The staff was really accomodating, I cant recommend it enough if you're going to Cortona. Super clean, many bathrooms and overall a great hostel.

Nice location, nice staff, however reception was closed from about 6 or 7pm, no staff anywhere. It was cheap and I'm happy there was a hostel option in Cortona, but need to work on creating some atmosphere. Could do with some nice common areas, outdoor space etc. Needs a bit of character and life

I didn't like that there was no staff after I think 6:30 -7pm. The reception and common area was closed from early evening. There was only one other person staying there at the time I was there and I had this enormous cold echoey dorm all to myself, absolutely no atmosphere. I couldn't make the bedside light work and couldnt find any staff to help me. Overall the facility was fine, clean and quite cheap, just no atmosphere, characterless place, felt a little like a convent (which it might have been in the past). No outside space and no common area past 7pm either.

it's quiet and calm place for staying. they are not busy and i was happy to stay there. the staff is nice, and their facility such as toilet and shower are enough. booking .com says towel and linen needs extra fee though, they are not.

it's not any problem to get there by car though, i missed a bus, so it's kinda tough trail by walk. down hill is okay. but i enjoyed beautiful scenery

Very charming hostel in an old nun convent situated in a perfect point of cortona, between the central square and the fortress. The staff of the hotel is really super nice. In particular Francesca gave me very good tips about cortona and was very very helpful and nice. Highly recommended!!

The location was great for exploring Cortona by foot. The hotel offers free parking space in the vicinity. The staff was friendly.

We only chose this accommodation because all other options were fully booked during the national holiday. Shared rooms with bunk beds are not good for middle-aged couples. There were all kinds of noise coming from the other guests in the room and in the corridor. The lights in the corridor also brightened the room when somebody turned them on. The room was cold because of an open window.
