The location of the cottage was stunning right on the river bank and with a little stone beach area. Parking was easy and lots of walks on the doorstep.

"Great relaxing break in cosy compact cottage in beautiful location,"

Convenient location, not far off the main road, quiet riverside spot, with walks from the door. Comfortable beds, sofa, armchairs, well-equipped kitchen, logburner with generous supply of logs, etc. Heater in each room that we could turn on or off as we wished. Lovely big bath with shower over, spacious bathroom with space for our things. The owner asks that we wash up & put the rubbish & recycling out correctly, but then "nothing more - you've paid for cleaning" - how nice!

The stairs are very steep, with a potentially dangerous cut-away stair at the top, between bedrooms & bathroom. It would be easy to miss one's footing in the night & fall down the stairs, but we didn't! Bedrooms are both quite narrow, with little space beside the bed. It was hard to get the living room warm each day, unless we lit the logburner.
