Improved Private House in Central Location

It was good to have the place to ourselves. It was very clean and and well equipped kitchen.

Street parking is free, but the street is very crowded. Bath towels were not provided which is unusual. It would have been good for the beds to have been made up before we arrived.

We arrived and immediately had a strong smell of cigarettes, after looking around the property it seemed as if people were living there as there was tobacco, and hair strewn around the house with rolling papers and the ripped packet on the floor, the bed sheet had a stain on it. The fridge was just a drinks fridge which had not been plugged in so there was large amounts of what looked like mould inside. The cutlery was also dirty. The toilet also had a stain which hadn't been cleaned. Overall, the place was absolutely filthy and we decided it best to find somewhere else to stay.

Easy to access, good bathroom, location ideal for easy bus access to Portsmouth. Good for a safe and clean place to act as a base. Good WiFi. Absolutely fine for the price we paid considering it was a festival weekend. Communication good with owner.

Limited furnishing, didn’t use the kitchen but seemed very basic with a noisy drinks fridge as a fridge. Probably not great if you were planning on cooking meals for a family.

The house was outstanding.

The bathroom was nice apart from the loose toilet seat

The house was not cleaned before we arrived. Fortunately, we had a pack of wet wipes to clean throughout. The bedrooms were exactly that a room with a bed and nothing else, no bedside cabinets, no wardrobe, no hanging rail, no pictures, no lampshades throughout the house and no matrice protection or pillow protection.There were no bath towels just a very dirty kitchen cloth and a dirty face towel.The kitchen was ok apart from the lack of knives, the cooker needed a damn good clean and the bottle fridge, which I think had been found in a skip, was not what you wanted with no freezer box and was very noisy. The outside space was dirty with cigarette buts, rubbish and needed weeding but had no chairs so useless. And finally if you drive don't get back after 4.30pm you won't be able to park anywhere close, if you park on double yellows, even after 10pm, you'll get a ticket, we had one at 11.05pm. This is not a holiday home it's a house up for sale trying to make a bit of cash before its sold in my opinion

Decent location Bathroom mostly ok

House felt half done; Walls in living room were part new paint overlapping old paint No light shades on any of the lights in the house Kitchen units were falling apart by the cooker/skirting board coming away from the wall No real fridge, just a drinks fridge, no freezer Only some cutlery left in the draw, cutlery had to be washed as not clean and fork was bent. Boiler pipes not boxed in and bits sticking out. Bedrooms ok but small, only pillow cases on the top pillows, no apparent spare bedding. Towels looked a bit stained Outside courtyard wasn't usable, overgrown weeds, broken boards left on the floor, no chairs or a table to sit on Toilet seat not secured properly, constantly moving when in use
